    "content": "I have said many times that the Government has a duty and responsibility to take care of our farmers. In other jurisdictions across the globe, farmers are respected and supported. Three weeks ago, I had an opportunity to visit a private sugar company in Kisumu, Kibos Sugar Factory. What they are trying to do in the private facility is invest in converting by-products from the sugarcane into fertilizer; grown, processed, manufactured in this country. If such initiatives are supported, then we have an opportunity to make food production flourish to feed this nation and strengthen our economy."
