"content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. The Tharaka are not a minority as such. They are recognized. But there is a community in Tana River known as the Munyoyaya who are actually a very small minority in the country and who trace their roots to the Tharaka. It is historical. They are not Somalis, Pokomos or Oromos. They are actually a Bantu community that migrated down the Tana River into Madogo, the area that is near Bura. Hon. Wario is not here. He would confirm that, that is a small minority community and it is related to the Tharaka. I think as we discuss Hon. Owen’s Petition, let us also consider the Munyoyaya."
