What I think should have happened is for you to report to the House and we would be able to know how to handle that matter. However, it makes sense. If the Members asks Questions and they do not appear, it becomes difficult for them to be processed. I see some of those Members who were mentioned here, in the House. I would really be very curious to know what is likely to have happened. Even if there are going to be very good reasons they had for not attending, it would have been better if that was communicated to the Committee at that point. Another thing that we are grappling with and we would like to send it to the relevant Procedure and House Rules Committee is whether once a Member asks a particular Question, it still belongs to him. At that point, it is a property of the House and should be answered even in absence of the Member. In terms of tidiness, it would be good for the Member to be there or at worst, his representative.
