Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended in the proposed amendment to the Scrap Metal Act, 2015 by deleting the proposed amendment to Section 30. The justification is that there seems to be a misunderstanding because the inspector that is referred to is appointed under Section 29 (1) of the Scrap Metal Act and refers to a person appointed by the Cabinet Secretary and who has adequate training in metallurgy or a related field of study. The proposed amendment is thus misplaced and should be deleted. I thank you."
