    "content": "Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker, for the opportunity. I rise pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order No.48 (1) to seek a Statement from Standing Committee on Finance and Budget regarding the quality of the new generation currency notes currently in circulation. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1)Report on the quality of the new generation currency notes as compared to the old generation currency notes. (2)Explain the cause for the poor durability of the new generation currency notes, especially the Kshs50 bill note. (3)Give a comparative assessment of the printing costs of the new generation currency notes in relation to the old generation currency notes. (4)State security measures put in place to curb proliferation of fake new currency notes following reports of the same being in circulation. I thank you."
