The aim is to call out for the ending of the spread of HIV and COVID-19 through citizens and Government partnership and co-operation. Since the first case of HIV was officially recorded in Kenya in 1984, approximately 1.9 million people have lost their lives in Kenya as a result of HIV/AIDS related complications. By the end of 2019, the HIV prevalence rate stood at 4.5 per cent with approximately 1.5 million people living with HIV. At the same time, the prevalence of HIV is higher among women who have a prevalence rate of 5.8 per cent compared to the 3.1 per cent among men. In 2019, there was an estimated 41,416 new infections and 20,997 HIV/AIDS related deaths across all ages; a decrease from the 101,560 new infections and 58,465 deaths in 2013 respectively.
