(a) Yes, I am sadly aware Samuel Kivuitu Nzioki (ID No. 2581507), a works paid staff, who died in a road accident involving the Ministry’s motor vehicle registration GK T497 has not been compensated. This is because the next of kin has not filed a formal claim against the Ministry for compensation as required by law. (b) Compensation will be processed once the matter is filed and settled in court as required under Fatal Accident Act, Cap 32 and Law Reform Act, Cap 26 of Laws of Kenya."
