    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank you for giving me this opportunity to support this Bill. I thank the National Assembly for passing the Bill without amendments. We have lost a whole year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have not had any major athletics competition and that has really demoralized our sports men and women. I am happy that this House has taken time to consider this Bill so that it becomes law. It is good that Kenya is among the signatories of this Bill because that means that we are International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliant. It is important for this House to fast-track this Bill so that come 2021, which is three days away, our athletes do not lose out another year. We have to support our athletes because their talent is their source of livelihood. If we do not fast-track this, our athletes may lose out."
