    "content": "and urge Members to support it because it is the only way that the Government will be able to meet the needs of its citizenry. There are Members who think that Parliament is not part of Government, but I want to state that Parliament is one of the arms of Government. If the Government is failing, it will not only touch on the Executive, but also on Parliament. We should all rise up and redo some of these taxes so that the Government can be able to raise money to pay for the items that were passed in the Budget. Hon. Speaker, two days ago, the CS for the National Treasury, while appearing before one of the House Committees said that we are going to be in the red and we may not be able to pay salaries. The Members will agree with me that if they do not receive their salaries, they might not be able to come to work. I do not expect any Member to oppose these amendments because if they do that, they will be failing themselves, their constituents and in their duty as elected Members of this House. Thank you, Hon.
