"content": "punishment in schools which we know are now illegal. A Senator said when he was a student, they were being beaten when they made mistakes. That was another generation. The new generation is the one we have raised as parents and they know beating or corporal punishment in schools is prohibited. In most cases, when children are beaten or disciplined, we have seen parents going to schools to defend them. Sometimes it is a pity they even carry pangas to fight the teachers in disguise of defending their children. We will investigate these issues and come up with solution. However, there is a lot of mental health issues which we need to deal with. I am sure we shall invite the necessary stakeholders before we come to this House with some fair solution.
