    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support the amendment by Hon. Tandaza of putting Achiote into the scheduled crops. Achiote belongs to the family of Bixaceae and in the order of Malvales . As much as the crop takes a long period of four years for it to mature, it has a lot of benefits. We have all been going to the Coast region and, occasionally, we see the colourings of the food. We never knew that, that was from Achiote. Today, that is a very important learning that all of us have acquired. I have also gone through it to read the benefits of that food colouring. It is carotenoid, meaning that it adds Vitamin A into whatever we are eating, and it has beneficial effects among them being what we call anti- oxidants.
