    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I remember in the previous Senate of the Eleventh Parliament, a Petition along the same line was brought by the then Senator for West Pokot, Prof. Lonyangapuo, and this House recommended that they be paid but nothing has been done. I remember one day, all the former councilors had a meeting at Nyayo National Stadium to push for that. It is better to see what can be done so that those elders who were leaders in their own rights can also be compensated for the services they provided to this country."
