    "content": "very low. I urge all those who are concerned to do something because treatment of cancer is very expensive. Many MPs attend several fundraisings weekly for persons who are seeking the treatment for cancer. To make matters worse, we are always raising funds to cater for funeral expenses for persons who have succumbed to cancer. It is unfortunate that some local hospitals are taking advantage of cancer patients. For example, when patients are referred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret, they encounter so many privately owned hospitals around MTRH, which claim to be cancer treatment centres. Such facilities offer medical care at such an expensive rate that even after a loved one succumbs to cancer, they detain their bodies until all the treatment cost is cleared."
