Speaker, last year in September, I presented my Petition to the Departmental Committee on Agriculture and Livestock seeking a Statement on the fate of the miraa farmers upon closure of the miraa market in Somalia. The Committee is yet to report to the House and yet 60 days have already lapsed. I wish to seek your guidance on when the Committee will issue a response because farmers in Nyambene are suffering. The market has remained closed since March last year and there is no response from the Committee."
