Temporary Deputy Chairman, I propose – THAT, Clause 23 of the Bill be amended─ (a) by deleting sub-clause (5) and substituting therefor the following new sub clause─ (5) A person who has submitted an application for refugee status shall be under obligation to abide by all the laws of Kenya including all the lawful orders given by the mandated institutions under this Act. (b) by inserting the following new sub-clauses immediately after sub-clause (5)."
