Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 31 of the Bill be amended in sub-clause (1) by inserting the words “upon consideration of any special needs or conditions that may affect the refugee’s protection and safety” immediately after the words “Commissioner may”. Hon. Chair, we are putting this so that when the commissioner is determining whether the refugees are moved to different designated areas, their special needs are taken care of in line with the previous provisions we made for women, children, persons with disabilities, elderly persons among others.
