In the olden days, our fore bearers had herds of cattle. That was all they had. They could marry as many wives as their homes could contain. Therefore, there were no many issues around who owns what and at what time. The Law of Succession (Amendment) Bill which was brought forward by the Member for Homa Bay Town seeks to clarify and complement the Marriage Act."
