    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this Bill and congratulate the Chair of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security for providing real leadership in coming up with this amendment. I can confirm, as a Member of that particular Committee that we met several groups and people who enriched what was initially drafted. Drug production, consumption, possession and trafficking has increased and advanced in terms of handling and people developing mechanisms for evading arrests and manipulating our law enforcement institutions. Therefore, the existing law cannot handle the present day drug trafficking, production, handling and consumption because there are many loopholes and advancements that have come up from the time that particular law was put in place."
