"content": "This Report is before us because the United Kingdom (UK) left the European Union (EU). It is as a result of Brexit. Neither the UK nor Kenya wanted to have this Treaty. Under the circumstances Kenya was approached to trade with them. What is in it for Kenyans? Does it meet Kenya’s strategic and national interest in terms of doing bilateral trade with the UK? We are Members of the East African Community (EAC) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). With the coming of African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Kenya is part of the global Africa. We also signed Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) with the EU. Does signing this EPA with UK affect all other global trade arrangements?"
