    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to support this Statement by Sen. Kasanga. There are so many forms of child abuse and they are diverse. Mr. Speaker, Sir, children are abused psychologically, socially, mentally and physically. It is very unfortunate because Kenya is among the member States that have signed the Declaration of the United Nations Convention on the rights of children. These rights are enshrined in Article 53 of our Constitution. Every child needs to be protected by adults. The same people who are supposed to protect them sometimes violate their rights.
