    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I stand to support the Statement by the Senator for Vihiga, Sen. Khaniri, on food scarcity and the prices of food going up. As a country, we have not taken the issue of food seriously. I remember that as a Women Representative, my idea was to get involved with women to do business. However, when I went to the ground, I realized that there is no food security. Even if you did your best and helped women to get involved in business, there is no way they would succeed in business because they had not taken care of the food that they eat on a daily basis. When we were growing up, I do not think that there is any day my mother bought vegetables from the market. I do not remember any day my mother went to the market to buy chicken or eggs.
