They have shown that when you nominate women even in the most controversial elections, they can win so long as that election is conducted with dignity and on issues. The nomination of Sen. Kavindu Muthama was not by way of a coincidence. The Wiper Democratic Party fronted a lady candidate for the position of governor in the last general elections.
