    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I support the Petition. This issue is the same along the border counties, for instance, in my constituency where we border Tanzania, intermarriages have occurred between Tanzanians and Kenyans. You will find that in a family, the father and the children have national ID cards, but the mother who is as old as 60 years does not have a national ID card. One should become a citizen through marriage. So, once you are married by a Kenyan, you should be issued with a national ID card because you have become a Kenyan. Therefore, the Committee will look into this Petition and look at those issues of intermarriages between people from different countries. Furthermore, as people from the East African region, we do not even require visas to cross to the other countries. I support the Petition."
