    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is time that the Senate stood up for the people of this country to ensure that the vulnerable are given a hearing. They should not just be evicted from their land like that. There is need to ensure that the essence of devolution is actually working in the counties. There is need for the county government to come before the Senate and answer why they did this, and what measures they put in place to ensure that even when they are developing Mombasa, the residents are not affected adversely. There are families and there is a psychological impact. There are also the mental issues that Sen. Kasanga has always talked about in this House. You can imagine that all those families are mentally affected. We must stand as a Senate and see how to support the residents of Mombasa. Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you for the opportunity."
