    "content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Tourism, Trade and Industrialisation regarding the alleged procurement irregularities in the award of tenders for pre-export verification of conformity by Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS). In the response, the Committee should address the following- (1) State the reasons for failure by KEBS to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement and Assets Disposal Act and the attendant regulations as cited on 22nd and 23rd February, 2021 by the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board."
