"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this country has come a long way. I want to thank this Parliament and the Chair. I know the Chair himself being the Deputy Speaker and Member of Parliament from the region that is really affected will have been ready to contribute to this debate. But he has been performing a very important function of presiding over this event. I am sure the people of Lagdera Constitituency and the people of North Eastern Province are happy that this historic day has been achieved because this Parliament is in the correct frame of mind, using the hon. Wetangulaâs language. The frame of mind of Parliament in 1970 is different from the frame of mind that we have today."
