    "content": "Madam Temporary Speaker, I have listened to people attempt to even limit our mandate, very prominent lawyers and scholars argue that actually our duty as Parliament is only limited to as far as correcting typographical errors. I cannot be convinced that the people of Kenya can elect Senators to this House and Members of the National Assembly who are serious people, only for us to come and reduce them to be lexicographers. That their work is only to check spelling mistakes and errors and not interpret what they feel ought to be the right direction that the country needs to take."
