"content": "Finally, I am happy that from here, this Bill is heading to the people; it is heading back to Wanjiku as was very eloquently illustrated by the Chairman. It is our hope and wish that no more hurdles are going to be placed on the path of this process. And whoever is out there listening to us must understand that this is not child’s play, that we can allow anybody to bring side shows and academic arguments. We want everybody who is responsible to ensure that this process is smooth. We need to head to the referendum as quickly as possible so that Kenyans can pronounce themselves on the Bill and we move forward as a country. Those of us who want to mix up issues, who want to bring in matters as irrelevant as the 2022 elections into this process, I am sorry for them. The year 2022 will come and pass but this Constitution, God willing, will survive. It will take care of the interest of the current generation and the generations to come, regardless of who will be in power."
