"content": "hypothetical formula, that anyone can apply to his own county and see whether he was marginalised, left out or ignored. The promoters of this Bill looked at the Population Census of 2019. Kenya was said to have 47.6 million people. If you then take the constituencies that were added, that gives you 360 constituencies as proposed. If you take 47.6 million divided by 360, you will get a figure of about 135,000. That becomes the modal constituency population that the promoters came up with. You would then look at the population in your own county and divide it with that figure to see how many constituencies you are supposed to have. I have taken time to look at a few counties using the same formula and I have confirmed that whatever is being proposed in this Bill conforms with the scientific formula. My own county has a population of 610,411. If you divide that by 135,000, you will find that we are supposed to have 4.521 constituencies. Those that did Mathematics would round up that figure to five constituencies."
