Even yesterday, I was forced to speak in my mother tongue, Kimasai in this House because we are now outsiders in the Government we struggled to form, courtesy of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). The professional ODM hecklers cannot heckle us in this House. They should give us enough time to speak. I was speaking before I was rudely interrupted on the issue of the winner takes it all. When it comes to this, an election is a competitive process. In any competition, there is always a winner and loser. This will not be democracy. In democracy, the majority will have their way and the minority their say. This is the spirit of democracy and there must be a winner and loser. We cannot have an election process that does not have a winner and a loser. At times, the winner has 40 per cent and the losers combined have 60 per cent. When you look at the losers, you find we cannot solve this issue of the winner takes everything…"
