    "content": "(a) I am aware that my Ministry has not deployed a medical officer in Marsabit North District. (b) Staffing norms for health service delivery permit deployment of medical officers in hospitals only. A medical officer will therefore be posted to Marsabit North when the district acquires a hospital status. However, our sister Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation has planned to post a district medical officer to Marsabit North this year to oversee the management of health centres and dispensaries as well as implementation of primary healthcare activities."
