First of all, I want to laud the efforts of the Office of the Prime Minister for bringing together the leaders, Members of Parliament, who are affected or whose areas are affected or are expected to be affected by the flood problem. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, arising from the Statement that has been given here by the Assistant Minister, the question I want to raise is concerning areas such as ours in the Tana Delta – Garsen and Lamu – where we feel the effects of the rain after everybody else has already felt them because the rivers now come afterwards. Are there any special arrangements for that area? We need to request whether special arrangements can be made for the after effects of the rain on delta regions and areas that are low-lying, and not the other places up there.
