    "content": "To me, a political federation is very important. As you know, Kenya is a member of the East African Community (EAC). Under the Treaty, we are supposed to go through the stages of customs union, common market, monetary union and ultimately a political federation. I am talking about this because of the state visit by the neighbouring President, a lady that we were all happy to listen to. She confirmed that she is supportive and will ensure that the relationship between Kenya and the United Republic of Tanzania, and by extension East Africa as whole, is smooth to enhance free movement of people and goods and services. The amendment clearly states our commitment to that goal."
