    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we have heard a variety of statements being made by different Ministers of Government about privatization of different sectors, including the sugar industry. I would like to know from the Assistant Minister when the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance will present the privatization programme to the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade as it is provided for under the law? We have been waiting for this for a long time. We get many statements indicating that privatization is going on. Yet, it is a requirement of the Privatization Act that we, as a Committee, must be told about any intended privatization of a Government body before it is done."
