    "content": " Thank you very much, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to give an update to Members, on the status of disbursement of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) for the Financial Year 2020/2021 and the previous years. Firstly, I wish to remind Members that the Fund allocation and receipts to date for the Financial Year 2020/2021 is Kshs 41.7148. Section 39(2) of the Act provides that disbursement of funds to the constituencies fund account shall be effected at the beginning of each quarter of the financial year, with an initial amount equivalent to 25 per cent of the annual allocation for the constituency. Thereafter, the constituency fund account shall be replenished in three equal installments at the beginning of the second, third and the fourth quarters of the financial year. Because of the challenges we had in the country, it was not possible to disburse in this manner. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
