    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I support the elevation of Nakuru to a city status. In the good old days, Nakuru used to be the cleanest city or town in Kenya. That is what children were taught in school and perhaps in East Africa. I do not know whether it still is. What is certain is that Nakuru has grown over the years in terms of population and infrastructure such as an airport. There is an international airport coming up. It is also the home of one of the biggest military presence in our country. Because of the civilian and military infrastructure present in Nakuru, among other things, population growth and other strategic considerations; I support the elevation of the municipality."
