Senators, pursuant to Standing Order No. 232(1), the Petition is committed to the Standing Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations for its consideration. In terms of standing order No. 232(2), the Committee is required in not more than 60 calendar days from the time of reading the prayer to respond to the petitioner by way of a report addressed to the petitioner and laid on the Table of the House. Hon. Chairpersons of Committees, it has been raised now and again that you have not been adhering to the 60 days. Please, let us stick to the 60 days. I thank you."
