Deputy Speaker, I want to take this opportunity to first and foremost thank the Members of two committees, namely, the Departmental Committee on Education and Research and the Budget and Appropriations Committee for their dedication in this process. The 2021/2022 proposed budget for the education sector, which has six spending agencies, is currently standing at Kshs503 billion. This sector ranks among the highest in terms of resource allocation in the budget. I want to take this opportunity to thank the Government for according us the support even if the resources are not enough.
