I requested for a Statement pursuant to Standing Order No. 44(2) (c), from the Chairperson of the State Department of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, regarding the closure of miraa market in Somalia and the suspension of all flights to Somalia. There was the issue of crops which were turned down at the airport. This Statement was very crucial for the people of Igembe and up to now I am yet to receive a response."
