    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker for this opportunity. I rise to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government Question No.194/2021. (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why the National Transport and Safety Authority has been lax in its role of educating and creating awareness to motorcycle riders on the highway code so as to reduce the high numbers of accidents that account for over 30 per cent of the patients in the emergency departments in hospitals? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary provide a status report on compliance and the programmes that have been recently rolled out to implement the penalties stipulated in the law to persons contravening the Traffic Act? (iii) What measures has the Ministry undertaken to restore sanity and end the culture of impunity in our roads including educating the masses on the highway code and strict adherence to it?
