    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, when I travel to Narok, sometimes I get stranded in Mai Mahiu because the fuel prices have gone up too high. It is high time that we talk with the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning so that we can rethink the 8 per cent VAT levy that we added on fuel. We need to remove it. It is time to remove it especially when Kenyans are suffering. In South Rift, we are the highest producers of potatoes and eggs, but eggs are imported from Uganda and potatoes from Tanzania. This is where we need to increase taxes to protect our citizens."
