    "content": "(b) I am also aware that some people neighbouring the dam had attempted to grab the land and sub-divide it into two plots. However, the local people protested and the District Commissioner (DC), Nyandarua West, intervened and stopped any processing of title deeds. We thank him. The land on which the dam stands is, therefore intact, and Ewaso Ng’iro Development Authority has awarded a contract for the rehabilitation of the dam. The contractor is Global Construction Company Limited. They will start work on Kiro Dam after completing work on a nearby Kilometric Dam."
