Kimani Ichung’wah’s amendment on the issue of bringing regulations relating to remission of Excise Duty as he has mentioned to the House. So far, regulations are handled under the Statutory Instruments Act which states that once the Delegated Legislation Committee looks at them and approves, they do not come here. They only come here if they are annulled. However, there are exemptions to this. For example, regulations under Value Added Tax and Income Tax."
