    "content": "We all know that KRA is grossly underfunded and understaffed. It is supposed to get 2.5 per cent of the tax revenue that they collect. They do not get the money most of the times. The National Treasury should give KRA more money to hire and train staff, so that they can raise more revenue. What is more important is that KRA should enhance and modernise its ICT systems. When you buy something in other countries, the servers of the traders are linked with the servers of the revenue collection bodies. If KRA can come up with such a system, we will collect more revenue because it is real time. Whatever you buy, KRA will be aware that a certain company has sold a certain value of goods and they are supposed to pay certain amount of tax revenue.
