"content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. The matter, as you have ordered, will go to the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs where I have the privilege of serving. I want to tell the House that most of what the Petition is asking for are matters that could be dealt with by a committee of the court. The real meaning of what he is asking for would be that we change the law. (Inaudible)… it is to the House, in my view, because of the dysfunctionality of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Council. The LSK Council is no longer able to deal with issues that are raised by the petitioner. That is why the House is being asked to step in. As we deal with this matter, I urge members of the LSK Council to take their work seriously and deal with issues that members need to attend to."
