(i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain the circumstances that led to the closure of National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) offices in Merti Sub-County in 2020 and subsequent transfer of staff without replacement thus denying the residents of Merti the much-needed services? (ii) What measures has the management of NHIF put in place to ensure reopening of Merti NHIF offices for continued service provision to area residents? Thank you, Hon. Speaker."
