"content": "Madam Temporary Speaker, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Energy regarding the off-grid energy facilities in Marsabit County considering that the county is not connected to the national grid. In the Statement, the Committee should: (i)Explain the national Government policy on ensuring that Kenyans who are not on the national grid get connected to power. (ii)State with respect to Marsabit County the centres which have been identified for off-grid power provision. (iii)Provide progress on the status of off-grid facilities in the identified centres (iv)State why centres like Loyangalani, South Horr, Gata, Kargi and Korr in Laisamis Constituency are not yet connected to any form of power."
