    "content": "Madam Temporary Speaker, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48 (1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads and Transportation regarding the improvement of Laisamis-Maligis Road to bitumen standards and under the Low Volume Seal Roads Programme. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Explain the status of the above project stating when it commenced, the scope of the works and expected completion date. (2) State why it has taken so long to complete the works. (3) State measures the Government has put in place to ensure that the project is completed without any further delay."
