Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, clause 6 of the Bill be amended by- (a) deleting sub clause (1) and substituting therefor the following new sub clause- (1) The management of the Service shall vest in a board which shall consist of− (a) a non-executive chairperson appointed in accordance with subsection (2); (b) the Principal Secretary in the Ministry responsible for matters relating to health or their representative designated in writing; (c) the Principal Secretary in the Ministry responsible for matters relating to finance or their representative designated in writing; (d) the Attorney-General or their representative designated in writing; (e) a representative of the private sector nominated by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance; (f) a representative of the private based transfusing facilities; (g) a representative of the faith-based transfusing facilities; (h) a representative of the Council of Governors; and (i) a representative of universities with knowledge and experience in haematology. (b) delete sub clause (2) and substituting therefor the following new sub clause -"
