Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 41 of the Bill be amended in sub clause (1) by deleting the words “under the instructions of a medical practitioner” and substituting therefor the words, “registered by the relevant regulatory authority”. The amendment seeks to enable the collection of blood and blood products by qualified health professional as long as they are registered by relevant regulatory authority. The Clause as it is limits collection of blood and blood products to medical practitioner."
